Starting out the day right wearing respective t-shirts for each club with nice statements and colors. Everyone was excited with their smiles that reached their ears and guitars strumming to the beat of Love Story and You Belong to Me. Rushing to our specific area in the covered court.

Students in different shirts attended the mass early morning. Nice mass indeed with Fr. Jonathan Sarcon. Then continued with the swarm of people cheering and screaming loudly with pride with their own clubs. Students tried to knock the roof out of the building, but I guess the program for the Clubs’ Day is just not that nice with Maam Macaway’s stupid control on the day’s program. Chyea! Yet we had real fun playing the guitars.

We then ate lunch in St. Mark’s room. My room! Haha.

Puryagaba nga isagatos!

Just an opinion, freedom of speech. I didn’t like the viand Sisig and grilled chicken. But at least it filled my hungry stomach and satisfied my appetite then again sang songs like My Heroine with amateur background strings. We then played games like Dodge Ball, classic Bagoongay *correct me if I’m wrong* and Dragon Tail. We had so much fun but exhausted ankles then waited for some people to rush back to their classrooms. So when I arrived at the classroom I heard loud acoustics. We sang and sang then we practiced for our assembly this coming Tuesday.

Waaa! We ran hurriedly to go Gem’s house. Right now I’m at their house. I will turn around and….

Birthday na nako! LOL

Been wondering, Is there a class on Monday?!?. Gotta go and play DoTA with Gem. Wonder what will be the result? What’s that I heard,GODLIKE. Haha. Ciao!

River Card

I had a funny flashback
one that threw me of track
then eventually realized something
events turned to regrets that kept me wondering

What in hell did I get myself into
Did I do what I was supposed to
Why do i feel like I’m missing a part
a part that somebody tore apart!

I had her body all for myself
believed I was the man!! the king!! but I really need help!!
I always thought of happiness hoping never to regret..
but at times of our down fall we wish to forget..

Yes I am tired of waiting and taking that risk
Loosing patience fast and wanting everything to be brisk!!
Maybe that’s why this small muscle within us is strong and hard
like poker in life we take chances..til we see that river card..

River Card– the Last Card dealt in a poker hand
-by Kyle Benedict H. Parco

Above is my cousin Kuya Kirby’s poem about the River card in poker. I definitely gave two thumbs up while reading his poem. Everything seems stagnant when we play poker. Until the flop, turn and the river comes in action and everyone shouts out loud inside their wits. All eyes and heart in the final judgment the river card.

My cousin is definitely poetic and artistic since I’ve read some of his writings, drawings and paintings in the past twelve years of my existence. Kuya Shakespeare, that is what I’ll call him now. Poetic lines from his fingers can make your nose bleed a river.

Especially when I play Texas Hold’em Poker, attention is on cards and faces. Bet and hope you would win. It seems cash is your best friend. Everything will change when you see the river card and someone will smile in happiness and frowns in anger because of the the faulty decisions. We are definitely addicted to this game. Sleeping almost two in the morning just playing classic Poker in cash games.

Mamba everyone! The river card is flopped and someone just hit the staggering home run. All in! Some will fold, some will call and that’s what we call Poker.

Maybe that’s why this small muscle within us is strong and hard
like poker in life we take chances..til we see that river card..

Like Poker in life we take chances…Till we see the river card. Poker=Life=Roller coaster ride. Special thanks to my cousin Kuya Kirby or Kyle or Shakespeare for allowing me to review his note in Facebook about Poker.

UFC 99: Comeback in Cologne, Germany was amused with the heart of two former UFC and Pride champions, Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin. Silva was looking for a comeback after the shame he got from the hammer blows of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rich Franklin, a former UFC Middleweight Champion vied for a stunning victor from the “Axe Murderer” in the 195-pound catchweight brawl.

The Lanxess Arena was packed with people across Germany and its neighboring countries. When I heard about the bout, I then new it will be explosiveness and endurance to its limits. Silva was known for his powerful arms and knees that made him a Pride FC Champion. Franklin’s control and precision will counter the flurries thrown by Silva.

Opening salvo, both brawlers scored dynamite punches that both rocked the two cage fighters. Silva looked to haul Round 1 with his staggering blows but Franklin simply danced around the octagon with his fancy footwork. Silva worked with his right hand and less on his left, which made him pay the price as Franklin simply countered the blows with ease.

In the middle of the clash, Silva looked aggressive as he furiously attacked Franklin. Minutes after the start, Silva looked exhausted with all the clinches and grapples that Franklin instantly used as an advantage. Silva was hyped and then continued the exchange of punches as went ground-and-pound and in stand-up.

Final and deciding round, “Ace” and “Axe Murderer” looked to amuse the euphoric crowd with the heavy hands thrown by the two warriors. Wanderlei looked tired with the punishment he got from the well-conditioned Franklin .The Brazilian brawler looked to beef up the fans and looked to edge out Franklin with all the load he landed. Franklin easily swayed away and finished the fight with a takedown to steal the final round and seal the deal.

The usual fan-favorite Rich Franklin outshined Silva but got the boo’s but scored the Unanimous decision win against the Brazilian veteran “Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva.

Silva looked a bit unhappy after the fight and looked to score another comeback after losing consecutive bouts.

Poker

This new card game I learned from Facbook’s Zynga Texas Hold’em Poker which is Poker. Poker has many variations, like Omaha and Texas Hold’em. But the only and favorite variation is Texas Hold’em.

Some say Poker is like chess, its because it’s a game of skills. While some of my cousins say it is a game of luck.

I’ve been playing this since April 2009 and I’ve known a lot of people who play it. Almost all of us cousins from the usual Filipino card game Tong-its, turned into Texas Hold’em Poker and we also bought poker chips to spice up the clashing of wits and skills.

I laughed out loud when I first played with my cousins and I won with pure bravery and luck. I’m still an amateur though just improving my own game and maybe gamble with people, of course legally.

I also watched some Poker tournaments in television like the famous World Poker Tour. Insane action by professional poker players like Daniel Negreanu.

Poker has many thrills and spills. Try learning and of course playing. Know more poker in http://www.usplayingcard.com
