Another lazy Sunday morning for my family. I anticipated UFC 100 live telecast from nine am in the morning. Countdown to UFC 100 with my brothers was exciting. I felt bad after waiting for several minutes for the airing of long-awaited UFC 100.

Whew! I felt sick for hours, then I just had a mild fever and cold. Meds, meds and meds trying to relieve the stress and sickness. I focused watching the centennial event. I just pushed through and watched the clash of the titans.

I first watched the debut of Yoshihiro Akiyama from Osaka, Japan against Alan Belcher. I forgot to have a prediction in this bout but I thought Akiyama’s Judo take downs and calm counters will bring him to a first UFC victory. Both fighters were gasping for air after 2 rounds of slow but sure stand-up game. It looked like Belcher would spoil Akiyama’s debut with his impressive striking abilities. But Akiyama proved his Judo skills and emerged victorious via split decision.

Next bout was the clash of the coaches of the Ultimate Fighter 9. The veteran Dan Henderson versus Michael “The Count” Bisping both carrying flags of U.S.A and U.K. Bisping tried to evade the former Pride FC Champion’s punches with his fancy footwork. After the second round Dan Henderson prevailed and finally tasted the sweet vengeance against the British foul mouth. He landed a powerful right hook in the button and added a elbow to solidify his presence in the middleweight division and vies for the coveted Middleweight belt owned by Anderson Silva.

The co-event of the evening was a championship bout in the welterweight division. George “Rush” St. Pierre(champion) against Thiago “Pit bull” Alves. Thiago tried to furnace his reputation after his win against the veteran Matt Hughes. George St. Pierre looked confident early in the five, five minute rounds with his sharp take downs. Alves was gasping for air after being taken in the ground. St. Pierre challenged Alves’ stamina. St. Pierre left everyone in awe as he cemented his attack in the mat to seal the deal and retain the title via unanimous decision.

The main event of the evening was superb with screams as the two heavyweights aimed for the belt. The hometown hero Frank Mir tried to score another upset against the machine Brock Lesnar. Lesnar looked furious after being put into shame by Mir with a leg lock that forced Lesnar to tap-out. Lesnar made Mir a train wreck after landing hammer fist on the ground. Mir smiled after beating beaten up by Lesnar’s fists in the opening salvo.

Second round was completely Lesnar’s as he pounded the former champion with close range strikes. Lesnar smashed Mir all throughout the sequel. He placed Mir in a dangerous position to force the referee Herb Dean to jump and stop the bout.

Lesnar lost his mind after the bout. The massive crowd kept booing the champ. Lesnar addressed the hometown of his opponent, “I love it! Keep booing! Keep booing!” Then shifted gear and furiously remarked “I’m going to drink a Coors Light. That’s right a Coors,” Lesnar then looked down at the Bud Light logo on the mat. “Bud Light don’t pay me nothing.” Lesnar swept the whole arena after remarking, “I’ll get on top of my wife tonight.”

The freakin’ fight fever scored Twitter’s trending topic. Maybe next time I’ll make a sports blog maybe later this year. Definitely hats off to the UFC for their centennial event that showcased three blockbuster bouts that surely hyped the entire world.

Shhh, gotta rest or maybe study. Rush post!

Blockbuster bouts tomorrow as the UFC 100 sets into action. Centennial countdown from the 100 best fights of its history. Been craving to see the championship and premiere bouts of Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar, George St. Pierre vs Thiago Alves and Dan Henderson vs Michael Bisping.

Tuning in our cable channel Balls for a week now showcasing the highlights of UFC from the legendary Royce Gracie, the Magnificent Muay Thai clinch of Anderson “Spider” Silva and the farm boy carry of Matt Hughes. Five days of pure clashing of MMA skills from the center stage of UFC.

Can’t wait to see the 100th UFC event. Been craving for a clash since June of this year. Prediction.Prediction.Predictions from UFC 100’s official website and from my cousins. My predictions for the three blockbuster brawl:

1)Brock Lesnar will win via knockout. I think he learned a lesson from the upset against Frank Mir’s excellent Jiu Jitsu with his leg lock that forced Lesnar to tap-out.

2)George St.Pierre will win via TKO or submission against Thiago “Pitbull” Alves. GSP’s versatility

3)Dan Henderson will win via decision against Michael Bisping. The two coaches in Ultimate Fighter 9 will collide in a clash and I think Henderson will emerge victorious.

Those are just predictions from my cousins and me. I didn’t measure their statistics and these predictions might turn out reversely and up-side down.
